Quantum Gate (CEO Baek Ju-yong), a company specializing in smart traffic safety platforms, is developing products and services through the convergence of technology-oriented R&D and service design from a user's point of view. It has a vision to grow into Asia's top "smart traffic safety company" in the field of traffic safety, the core of smart cities, through the Internet of Things (IoT) and "QGATE," an integrated platform service based on big data.
Quantum Gate, founded in 2016 with the idea of challenging to solve social issues in the transportation sector by combining IT technology and service design, is a startup that aggressively invests more than 500 million won annually in R&D.
Intelligent Driver Feedback systems (UXDFS) are the first to be selected as major businesses. This is a traffic accident forecast system in pedestrian protected areas and accident-prone areas, which analyzes and warns of real-time risks based on past accident history information (TAAS), road surface conditions (freeze and wet), and vehicle speed information. The acquired information is transmitted to the control center to be used as data for analyzing the cause of the accident and establishing countermeasures.
In addition, the intelligent forward collision prevention system (UXCPS) accurately tracks radar and thermal imaging cameras in areas where the location of the vehicle ahead cannot be identified, such as foggy areas and tunnel entrances. There is also a blockchain-based rewarding platform for safe driving(UXDTG). It is a system that prevents forgery and alteration of data in vehicle driving record devices such as long-distance trucks and buses with blockchain technology and compensates drivers directly through verification of safe driving. The effect of reducing traffic accidents through compensation for safe driving is expected. Among them, intelligent vehicles and fast warning systems were selected by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups for "Demonstration Purchase of Technology Development Products" and have even completed patent registration in the U.S. and Korea. In addition, it has been designated as an "excellent R&D innovation product" by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and registered as an "innovation market" product by the Public Procurement Service, drawing keen attention.
